In a clearing in the Arizona desert, decorated US Army veteran Kirt reenacts a drug- induced hallucination on a traumatic Thanksgiving night in Afghanistan two years before. Kirt has repressed his memory of the event and is driven to uncover the truth. CLEARING is about war between countries, between ideologies and cultures, war within the family, and war within the self.
